Slayer Game calls are made by Greg Lower, former National Crow Calling Contest champion. To get his calls they can be purchased through crowmart.

OVERVIEW

This amazing call dubbed, the "Slayer Classic Cedar Crow Call". Is undoubtedly one of the best calls you'll ever find.
Winning top honors at the ACHA National Crow Calling Contest.

SOUND
Outstanding! Truly! So realistic you'll think a crow is right beside you. The pitch, raspiness, and volume are all there! I can't say enough how impressed we where when we heard it. The volume is powerful, able to project a far distance without exhausting your air supply. The voice is impeccable. It sounds like a seasoned adult crow. The rasp of the call is high, giving you that great gravelly sound you look for in a crow call. It's amazing and we highly recommend this call to be used in accurate crow voice replication.

CRAFTSMANSHIP
The only call we've seen made of aromatic cedar! A huge bonus to the call maker for using a wood outside the norm. The wood choice is outstanding. The call we received was beautifully finished, with a high gloss coating protecting the piece. No blemishes in the finish, smooth, and the wood is complete free of defects. The smell of the cedar is very welcome and it adds something very special to the one who uses this call.
The shape of the body is torpedo like, with the mouth flaring to a fluted end. Decorative grooves are finely done with one lanyard ring deeply grooved. The mouthpiece is an original design unique to Slayer Game Calls. Inserted firmly with no cracks at the base where it is seated. The mouthpiece is made of plastic with a synthetic reed. While we do love the wooden mouthpieces offered on some other calls. It has to be said it does not diminish that this is one of the most realistic sounding calls we have heard. A wooden mouthpiece on a call like this would be very welcome. Not just for the novelty of it, but we have come to realize the many benefits of wooden mouthpieces.

FEATURES & HANDELING
A very useable design. The shape of the call is robust, big, but still easy to clasp around your hands. The weight is significant and depending on your personal taste can be either favorable or distracting. The mouthpiece has bite down grooves, but not really positioned in a comfortable fashion. A bit awkward to blow hands free, especially with the heft of the call. We found the grooves to be a bit too thin and close to the end of the mouthpiece. We do love the length of the mouthpiece, and the shape of the back end of the call makes it very comfortable to use normally. Our lips don't hit the back end of the call as it does on some other calls with short mouthpieces and flat backed calls. The lanyard ring is deep and functionable. An added bonus, the call features the ability tomake a hawk screem by blowing across the reed sideways. A very kool fetaure. However we had problems getting it to create the hawk scream out of the box. We did however recieve another call by Slayer Game calls, the "Slayer Hunter Crow Call". Which did produce the hawk scream.
